Start with the applications, virtual machines and storage volumes you need to run. Compare the processor, memory and drive configuration named on each product page; a model name alone does not specify an identical system.

Compare the listed server configuration with your workload and site requirements. Software, rails, cabling and installation are addressed separately where needed.
Deployment and integration
For rack equipment, include available rack space, power connections and network interfaces. For tower systems, describe the installation location. List operating-system licensing, rails, cabling and installation separately when they are needed.
Confirm the complete configuration
Send the product reference and quantity together with CPU, memory, drive and network requirements. The written confirmation should identify the configured system and any separately priced accessories or support before you approve the purchase.
Need to check a configuration?
Tell us which applications will run, how much capacity you need and where the server will be installed. Include a model reference if you already have one.
